Wow have we ever been busy. Over the past month we have had the incredible experience of watching our youngest child graduate with honors and pack herself up for a summer in Spain and a school year in Italy. All of her older siblings pitched in to help her have the best graduation celebration ever! Her married brother and sister traveled with their families to visit and celebrate and her single brothers took her out bowling with friends. Three of her cousins flew in from Phoenix and Orange County to celebrate with her. Her aunties came from Colorado to help with both the work of the party and the partying itself. All of our friends from the houseboat dock were part of the surprise party too.
We have found a wonderful couple to rent our house while we are traveling. They are outdoor fans who are anticipating the fun of living on the water for kayaking and bicycling. They move in July 15, just as we leave for Europe.
We are sitting in a hotel in Vancouver writing this, on our way for leg one of the journey... a cruise through Alaska with Deanne's family (mother, sisters, brothers-in-law, and friends). Tomorrow morning we leave the hotel for the ship, then by early evening we set sail. Let's hope for great weather!

Welcome to our Blog which Deanne has spent many hours completing. This is going out to our immediate family, my Brothers and all their families, Deanne's family and friends, our very special friends both here and abroad, our Houseboat Community, the Chopra teachers group, PSM Group, Gibbons Group, and Transplant Group. That's a lot of groups :) but we have made an abundance of great friends throughout our business careers, family life and places we have lived ( which are many!!) ergo the gypsy handle. It has always been our dream to travel the world once our 5 kids were in college or above. Now that Caitie is on the brink of graduation and heading off to Italy to college we decided that NOW was the time to start our Tramp throughout the world. It will be great fun to keep you up to date on our trip and the people we meet and the places we see. We originally scheduled India and China for this year however that portion will be in the future. We look forward to your comments and communication.

Here we are before we retired. We have enjoyed our two years off. Mike sold most of our rental properties so that he had fewer headaches to deal with, but he took on other projects like the presidency of the homeowners association and a weekly meditation group. Deanne did a little consulting for some great friends and wore out her library card. We spent as much time with the kids as they could spare; the two in college and the two married kids as well as the high school student still at home. We spent two years working out. Our combined weight loss during the two years of working out is about 90 pounds so far, so the pictures you see going forward will be the new, improved us.
We are in final preparation for our big adventure. Our youngest child graduates from high school on June 19th and we have a fun week with family coming to town to celebrate the superstar's accomplishments. After her graduation festivities she leaves for a summer in Spain before she starts college. We leave for a week long cruise with Deanne's mother and sisters. We will be back in town for our annual Fourth of July party, then off to Europe mid-July.
